When I was 5 years old...

My Inspiration:

When I was 5 years old...I didn't know what I wanted to be.  I was a happy kid.  I thought that my mommy was the greatest person ever.  My daddy could fix anything and was the strongest I knew.  I copied everything my older brother did (I'm sure I was a very annoying little sister).  I started playing soccer and loved every minute of it.  I picked out my own outfits and looked like a goofy little kid.  I played outside as much as possible.  I wasn't scared of anything.  When you're not 5 years old you want to be, and when you're 5 years old you can't wait to grow up.  Ah, the beauty of being 5 years old again...

Bemmers

Today I was driving my 2001 Chevy Prism and pulled up next to a BMW 328i.  I love BMWs.  I always have.  They have a certain power over me.  I'm not sure if it's the head-turning beauty that draws in or the type of world they represent.  I always observe the driver and try and picture their life; imagine what they do for a living, their family life, their house.  Owning a bemmer is a status symbol whether people want to admit it or not.  I've never been the type of person that lets status and brand names run my life.  I mean, I drive a Chevy Prism, enough said.  The fact still remains that I love bemmers.  They have so much power and beauty.  I check out bemmers more than I do guys...

I built my dream bemmer today.  Now all I need to do is find the money and rational to purchase a $70,000 automobile.

Or I could just move to Europe or South Africa where bmws rule the roads.

To LIVE By

"In dwelling, live close to the ground. In thinking, keep to the simple. In conflict, be fair and generous. In governing, don't try to control. In work, do what you enjoy. In family life, be completely present."

When I'm stressed out about things in my life, I look to quotes to keep me grounded.  Call me a cornball, but it works.

Jeff T

Jeff T is a photographer out of Portland, Oregon.  He is a brilliant freelance photographer but mostly assists photographers for commercial shoots for companies such as Adidas and Nike and much more.  I admire the strong work ethic that he possess and the vast extend of his knowledge.  He is talented in more areas more than just the camera.  Recently he has taken up the world of editing.  One of his latest projects was editing a music video for a band.  The music video, Last Light was radiantly photographed, filmed and edited.  I must also give props to the band as well, Little Beirut composed a great song with a great sound.  All in all, two thumbs up for the music video.

Oh, and he's my brother  :)

Bottle & Brushes

Last summer my goal was to experience as much of the beautiful city of Chicago as I could.  I luckily had a great friend that shared the same adventurous nature.  One night we decided to partake in an event called "Bottle & Brushes."  You bring the bottle and they supply the canvas, paints and brushes.  I am not the most creative person in the world, but the artist somehow managed to bring out my creativity onto the canvas.  The bottle of wine probably didn't hurt either...
It's amazing how quickly you can make friends when you combine wine and a creative atmosphere.  We were pretty much just laughing at each other's attempt to formulate something that looked somewhat appealing.  Overall, it was a great time and something I would highly recommend to anyone looking to spice up their evening night.
Let the wine and creativity flow with Bottle & Brushes!

I decided to re-create my bottle and brushes experience.  It was a scaled-down version of my original experience, but still enjoyable.  The outcome:

Welcome Home

The arrival home of a close friend, some call them best friends, is always very exciting!  Especially when that friend has been across the world for an entire year.  Myself and another very close friend warmly welcomed our bestest at the airport.

Oh, and we had a little extra wait time to create the proper welcoming sign.

                          Reunited once again!

WELCOME HOME RACH!

**SunRise*SunShine**

I saw the *SUNRISE* this morning, probably the first time this summer. It is amazing how memorizing it is to see the sun gradually wake up while announcing to the world that the day has arrived. The east coast of Maine is the first in the United States to see the sun wake up every morning. One day I will sit on that eastern most edge of Maine and watch that same sun peak over the horizon...

The reason why *SUNFLOWERS* are my favorite flowers: They remind me of the sun.  It seems as though they're smiling at me.  It reminds me of how I feel when I have sunshine...

Let out your ray of *SUNSHINE*...

This song makes me happy.  It gives me chills every time I hear this song, watch this video and see my beautiful Chicago.
